Everyone loves a great Ribeye, T-bone, New York Strip, and Filet but there is many other great steaks to enjoy!

What I have found is that most enjoy all cuts of beef but are intimidated when it comes to cooking. The main reason is they don't want to mess up a great cut of beef! Skirt steak, flank steak, round steak, and flat iron steaks are just a few great steak options. Great for tacos, salads, roulades, the opportunities are endless.

While our beef does not need to be marinated due to its great flavor, a skirt steak is the perfect cut to do a quick marinade on if so inclined. When researching new cuts of beef, I frequently check out BeefItsWhatsForDinner.com for proper cooking techniques. It is a great resource that explains the cut your are using and helps navigate how to cook it.

The key to cooking steaks is to cut against the grain and to not overcook. When you slice the steak in thinner strips, against the grain, the steak is tender to eat and creates a truly great eating experience!

With summer right around the corner and not wanting to heat up the house with the oven, we will be using the grill as much as possible.
